The original Yanmar 2GMF has been replaced with a lower-hours 2GMF, with a new cutless bearing, new engine mounts, two coats of bottom paint in October 2022, and monthly diver service, all documented by Marine Propulsion Boatyard near Charleston. Additions include a cherrywood nav desk, working nav and running lights throughout, dinghy davits, wheel steering with an emergency tiller aboard, a crisp roller-furling genoa, a good mainsail, and a new spinnaker and pole. William Shaw designed the 303 as the largest, most comfortable coastal cruiser in the 30-foot range, and she delivers 6'5" headroom in the main cabin, a comfortable V-berth, a head with shower, a hot-water heater (dockside or underway), pressure water, marine AC and heat, and a bimini.
