This 2012 Rondar Firefly is a competition racing dinghy in excellent condition, for sale in Brookfield, Vermont. Firefly #23 comes from the fleet decommissioned by the MIT Sailing Team in 2021, one of the later boats (#21-24) added a few years after the original twenty. It has been sailed only once since purchase from MIT and otherwise kept wrapped and stored indoors over winter, leaving it in excellent condition. It comes with a fully rebuilt and customized trailer with spare tire, two MIT PFDs, and other accessories. The Firefly is a versatile collegiate racer prized for close tacking angles, a planing hull, and easy acceleration, and unusually forgiving of crew weight thanks to its rounded hull, keeping light and heavy sailors competitive alike. It can be soloed under main alone or sailed sloop-rigged with main and jib. She measures 12' LOA with a 4'7" beam and 2' draft, on a fiberglass hull. Asking $4,000.
